What Is a Good Age to Start Orthodontic Treatment?
October 31, 2022 5:07 pmThe American Association of Orthodontics recommends scheduling a child’s first orthodontic visit by age seven. Treatment, however, may or may not commence at this age. While earlier orthodontic evaluation and treatment can help guide proper jaw development and prevent additional misalignment problems, it’s never too late to get orthodontic treatment if you are an adult! You’ve likely seen people of many ages wearing braces or clear aligners.
Your First Orthodontic Visit
If your child is past age seven or you’re looking at orthodontic treatments for yourself, we invite you to schedule a consultation with our team. A visit with Dr. Meason can help you determine the right timing and treatment plan to address your misalignment or your child’s misalignment.
