When you first get your braces, have them adjusted, or get a new set of aligners, it’s normal to experience some tenderness and soreness in your teeth, mouth, and jaw. But this discomfort should dissipate as your mouth adjusts. Intense pain during your treatment that can’t be helped with ice or pain relievers is abnormal, especially for several days.
